Whale Drum (Sold)

Sacred drumming is one of the most ancient musical forms. Drums like these were used for traditional dances and ceremonies. The First Nations also used them to communicate with their ancestors and to establish a link with the earth and celestial worlds.

This drum was decorated with a whale, an important and common figure in native cultures as they are seen as a sacred species. It was created by the experienced and talented First Nation artist Joe David.
